Job Title: Sport assistant

What does your job at RGU involve?
Reception and admin work so setting up memberships and booking people into classes, sessions, programmes etc. I also have 30-minute intervals during shift to lifeguard down at the pool and complete pool tests. We also set up for clubs arriving at the facility or set up for classes in the studios, cleaning before and after use and first thing I the morning. The job revolves around keeping the facility running on time.

What attracted you to come to work at RGU?
RGU seemed like a good opportunity to progress in a field of work I am already familiar with and hopefully gain new skills along the way.

If you weren’t doing this job, what, in an ideal world, would you like to do for a living? Organising events.

What’s your favourite place in Aberdeen/Aberdeenshire?
Kingswells.

Best holiday you’ve had and why?
Magaluf because it was warm.

Favourite TV show?
Avatar the last airbender.

Favourite band/music?
Red Hot Chilli Peppers.

If you’re going to a restaurant and could only have one thing to eat (one course), what would it be?
Chayapria curry.

If you were in charge of the university for one day, what’s the first thing you would do?
‘Bring your pet to work’ day.
