We are on a roll here… this is the second 60 second interview featuring lecturers who are really into their music.. in this case not just listening, but actually singing (in a band).
Name: Nicola Lilley
Job Title: Lecturer, Management – Aberdeen Business School
What does your job at RGU involve?
I am mainly going to be involved with the GA students. I love working with students and seeing them thrive so I can’t wait to get stuck in!
What attracted you to come to work at RGU?
This is always a hard question to answer!… I can only be honest and say I follow my heart – I have worked on campus here with another University and have always loved the feeling of RGU so when I saw the role advertised, I decided to apply.
If you weren’t doing this job, what, in an ideal world, would you like to do for a living? Singing! I am actually a singer in a band now and I love it!
What’s your favourite place in Aberdeen/Aberdeenshire?
The beach. Any beach! Preferably in the sunshine but I will stay realistic!
Best holiday you’ve had and why?
Canaries – I love the relaxed way of life and the flight isn’t too long…. I loved going there with my 2 boys when they were younger. They’re all grown up now so family holidays are a thing of the past.
Favourite TV show?
I don’t really have one – sorry!
Favourite band/music?
P!NK
If you’re going to a restaurant and could only have one thing to eat (one course), what would it be?
Starter – probably seafood based
If you were in charge of the university for one day, what’s the first thing you would do?
Have a mini music festival!
