What does your job at RGU involve?
Managing a team of three to process payrolls for 1700+ Academic, Professional and Support staff across the campus.
What attracted you to come to work at RGU?
Having worked for over 20 years in Oil and Gas I liked the idea of a change in culture and the new challenges this will bring.
If you weren’t doing this job, what, in an ideal world, would you like to do for a living?
I love what I do but I always wanted to be a librarian, all those books!

Best holiday you’ve had and why?
Travelling around New Zealand with a bunch of friends. It is an amazing country, friendly chilled vibe, great food and everywhere you go is a kodak moment.
Favourite TV show?
Gogglebox because it makes me hoot with laughter and Strictly Come Dancing because it just makes me happy.
Favourite band/music?
The Cure and I have a passion for musicals
If you’re going to a restaurant and could only have one thing to eat (one course), what would it be?
I love eating out, usually anything with scallops, pork or lamb would catch my eye.
If you were in charge of the university for one day, what’s the first thing you would do?
Introduce a “Walk in my shoes” scheme where anyone can shadow another person’s role. I think it would give people a better understanding of how we all connect, and the effects of decisions made, or actions taken.
