Name: Caitlin Wilkinson

Job Title: Applications Supervisor

What does your job at RGU involve? My role at RGU involves online support and delivery of IT & creative software. This involves maintaining and operating Gray’s Moodle Zone and loads more!

What attracted you to come to work at RGU?
I was a student at RGU 4 years ago (graduated 3 years ago). I really enjoyed the environment and wanted to join as I knew the team were very supportive and creative.

If you weren’t doing this job, what, in an ideal world, would you like to do for a living?
I don’t really know what I would be wanting to do for a living. I think this is where I belong.

What’s your favourite place in Aberdeen/Aberdeenshire?
I am a mountain biker/ nature lover, so I love to be up in the hills and getting lost in forests, especially Bennachie.

Best holiday you’ve had and why?
Probably my favourite holiday I have had are trips away up North and to the West with my partner & our friends. We all go on mountain bike holidays together, and I feel like they get better with each year. Although I do remember going to Norway and Paris as a teen.

Favourite TV show?
I must live under a rock as I don’t really watch TV – haha. That’s embarrassing.

Favourite band/music?
I am known for my vast taste in music, and I go through phases of liking different things. My favourite band is Periphery… But I also enjoy Pink Floyd, Muse, Green Leaf, Limp Bizkit, The Police, Tchami, STARSET and a whole load more. I spend 90% of my time listening to music, so come chat to me if you need some new recommendations – I’ll have your back.

If you’re going to a restaurant and could only have one thing to eat (one course), what would it be?
That’s such a tough question… I guess it depends on what restaurant… It would be either some form of chicken or pasta bowl. I love food so I’d probs spend a lot of time staring at the menu unable to decide what to eat, cause I’ll want to eat it all!

If you were in charge of the university for one day, what’s the first thing you would do?
Probably buy everyone in the university a cup of tea/coffee and let them home early – haha, I’d be great!
