Name: Donna Simpson
Job Title: Admissions Manager
What does your job at RGU involve?
Helping applicants and enquirers to become part of the RGU Student family and also supporting my wonderful team of Admissions Officers, Admissions Assistants and Enquiries Officers.
If you weren’t doing this job, what, in an ideal world, would you like to do for a living?
I would have loved to be a secondary school teacher
What’s your favourite place in Aberdeen/Aberdeenshire?
Banchory as lots of lovely childhood memories
Best holiday you’ve had and why?
My first holiday abroad when I was 17 with my older sister as it really sparked a lifelong love of travel and exploring new places
Favourite TV show?
Big Bang Theory
If you’re going to a restaurant and could only have one thing to eat (one course), what would it be?
If you were in charge of the university for one day, what’s the first thing you would do?
I would create a quiet and safe space, in each building, for people to hang out if they are having a ‘bad day’, are feeling anxious or maybe just need some mental health ‘quiet time’. No computers just some books, maybe some support materials and some plants OR make every Tuesday on campus ‘Taco Tuesday’ because who doesn’t love a Taco!
