Since we first began asking our colleagues at RGU to share their 60 second interviews with us we’ve had a really enthusiastic uptake. What’s interesting is that we are getting people from every area of university life telling us a bit more about themselves, what makes them tick and what they like about our university. Here is another one to enjoy, featuring student support, amateur TV, fish, pasta and more parking (please).

Job Title: Inclusion Mentor (student life)
What does your job at RGU involve?
The job is varied and tailored to each student’s individual needs: in summary it involves providing a little extra support to students who require this and would benefit from this during their course of study.
What attracted you to come to work at RGU?
I am a previous student, I like the environment, the ethos, and values held by RGU.
If you weren’t doing this job, what, in an ideal world, would you like to do for a living? I’d have a quaint little craft/coffee shop in the Scottish countryside, with a great view, near water and with a B&B option.
What’s your favourite place in Aberdeen/Aberdeenshire?
My own house; my safe haven.
Best holiday you’ve had and why?
I think all holidays are excellent providing opportunities to make memories, but my first cycle holiday in Europe in 2015, with my husband to celebrate 25 years of marriage stands out – cycling Austria to Hungry, caught the bug from that.
Favourite TV show?
Amateur film by local company “One Day removals”, completely hilarious, every time. .
Favourite band/music?
Mm tricky, Deacon Blue.
If you’re going to a restaurant and could only have one thing to eat (one course), what would it be?
Main course; fish & pasta.
If you were in charge of the university for one day, what’s the first thing you would do?
I would instruct planning for increased parking facilities.
