What does your job at RGU involve?
Admin support to: the RGU SPORT operational team and Department, Student Union, Student Skills team and Student life Dept.
What attracted you to come to work at RGU?
I wanted to be part of RGU’s strategic plan, change the future together, and help people to get the best from their selves. Also, the staff benefits’ package, the environment, the intercultural community and the good references I had from other members of the staff all played a part in my decision.
If you weren’t doing this job, what, in an ideal world, would you like to do for a living?
I would be the owner of a vineyard and I would have my own wine factory in Spain
What’s your favourite place in Aberdeen/Aberdeenshire?
I have a lot of places, but my favourites are Banchory, Crathes Castle, and the harbour and woodlands at Cove.
Best holiday you’ve had and why?
Before becoming a mother I would had said my honeymoon in Barbados, because I discovered the Caribbean sea. I practised very exciting sports like scuba diving and surfing… I never did these before and I had great experiences and met a lot of people from around the world,
But after becoming a mother, family holidays in my parents’ summer house on the beach, with my family and friends, are the best.
Favourite TV show?
I do not watch TV sorry,
Favourite band/music?
I enjoy more of the music styles, from pop until classic or traditional music, but if I have to choose something I would prefer Latin music to dance
If you’re going to a restaurant and could only have one thing to eat (one course), what would it be?
Vegetables
If you were in charge of the university for one day, what’s the first thing you would do?
Improve the scholarship system to be more flexible and to get more people to access them.
