We love the variety of thoughts we get from everyone who takes part in our 60 second interviews. Â Who would have thought the marketing people hanker after Pigs in Blankets in summertime?
Name: Julia Heys
Job Title: Marketing Manager Â
What does your job at RGU involve?
I look after the marketing for ABS (Aberdeen Business School) as well as work on other University initiatives. Â
What attracted you to come to work at RGU?
I studied at RGU from 2010-2014, and had always hoped that one day I would work in the marketing team. I’d also heard that RGU was a great employer and I knew this would be a great move for developing my marketing career further. Â
If you weren’t doing this job, what, in an ideal world, would you like to do for a living? I would love to travel the world as a content creator or bake full time! Â
What’s your favourite place in Aberdeen/Aberdeenshire?
Cruden Bay beach – it is so beautiful and so peaceful. Â
Best holiday you’ve had and why?
I visited Florida years ago and it was just amazing – full-on entertainment for two weeks.   Â
Favourite TV show?
I don’t have a particular favourite but Married at First Sight Australia has been a guilty pleasure recently! Â
Favourite band/music?
I love any kind of pop music and I regularly have some sort of throwback playlist playing on Spotify! Â
If you’re going to a restaurant and could only have one thing to eat (one course), what would it be?
Christmas dinner… I don’t care it’s the middle of summer, you can’t beat pigs in blankets and stuffing! Â
If you were in charge of the university for one day, what’s the first thing you would do?
I’d go for a walk around the campus and talk to the students to get their ideas they might have for the University.Â
